Off to Webzine 2005

In about 2 hours I’ll be leaving on a jet plane to leapfrog my way to San Francisco for Webzine 2005. If you’ve spoken to me in the real world recently, you know I’m all-too-excited to be attending. It’s been about a yaer and a half since I’ve started immersing myself in the indie digital media sphere, and I already feel overdue for conferencing. My enthusiasm (or, you know, the alphabet) has landed me at the top of the Who’s Here list. Luckily, Webzine is a conference fit for - ahem - “independent” budgets: some near-expird frequent flier miles and a friend’s couch are netting total travel, housing, and conference costs at a whopping $35 (a sum easily eclipsed by my bar tab for tonight’s party, I’m sure).

If you’re at the conference, come find me, and if you’re not, play along at home - I’m planning on blogging as much of it as I can.

Remember to check out what we’re up to at SOSE - there’s been a lot of podcasting lately. I love MovableType’s scheduled posting - all the podcasts were produced two weeks ago, and I haven’t had to think about them at all!

Lastly, for my own satisfaction, I know I need to write an explication of my new job at CBS. I’ve been swamped, though, which leave little time for reflection. Or for blog reading - I’ve got 1000’s of unread posts in Bloglines, which just went down for maintenance as I was about to start tearing throug them - argh! Plus, because all the shows are launching, we’re so caught up with catching up, that I have little idea what future plans are in store. And really, we’re all about the future here.
