First Bitcast! My INdTV video submission
Ta da! v.2
Here’s my first attempt at a bitcast (my term for a video podcast / vlog), in direct-download form (rather than via BitTorrent). This is a highly compressed version of my INdTV video submission for my (failed) application to be a Digital Correspondent. It’s technically RIAA restricted - I’m using a few minutes of Rufus Wainwright’s “Movies of Myself” to make a short music video about…myself. But Rufus is aware that I did this, and that it’s just a portfolio demonstration, so I think I’m in the clear.
Once again if you’ve got an iPodder or your news reader supports enclosures (and is configured to receive video), you’ll get the MOV automatically. Otherwise, click the link above to watch or download. It’s a Quicktime file, coming in at just under 8MB, so the click-and-wait shouldn’t be too bad over broadband.
My show notes? Just the above link to buy the song from iTunes, for which I will receive no money because I haven’t been bothered to set up an affiliate account yet.
There will be a higher-quality version distributed using BitTorrent later today, to test that delivery method.
