A couple of weeks ago I spent two hours in the middle of the night videoconferencing from my bathtub, thanks to this seemingly simple idea that Ruth and Scott and I cooked up. The notion was to recreate the classic Rock Hudson / Doris Day split-screen bathroom scene from Pillow Talk using modern technology. It turned out to be way more of a technical fiasco than we initially thought, but we eventually rigged up a working system, and here’s what we made:
