ICM week 1: Gozor

To demonstrate static programming (ie, rendering images) in Processing, I created Gozor, a friend for Daniel’s creature Zoog.

Rendering the shapes was simple, but troubleshooting the layering and strokes involved more trial and error than I would have liked. (The arcs were nearly all trial and error!) Also, he ended up toward the bottom of the window, and moving him 50 pixels up would have required adjusting all of the y-axis values. Instead, I think his first animation will involve jumping. So, um, I left that space there on purpose!

(Yes, he’s named after that Gozor.)

  1. Yay! Cute. It totally looks normal for him to be not centered- it looks like there should/will be ground under him. If it were still there, he could eat at Gozar.
